Electric Vehicle Modelling Intern

During this internship, I worked within the Mobility and Automotive domain, focusing on model-based systems engineering for electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicle platforms. My work centered on developing dynamic vehicle models, improving control strategies, and evaluating powertrain performance under real-world driving conditions. The goal was to support early-stage automotive design decisions through accurate system-level analysis and simulation.

I developed and simulated full-vehicle models, including BEV, HEV, and ICE architectures, using MATLAB and Simulink. These models were used to study energy flow, powertrain response, and component interactions. I also contributed to refining energy management strategies, improving vehicle efficiency and performance through optimized control logic. Using standardized driving cycles, I performed simulations to validate system behavior, assess performance sensitivity, and enhance model accuracy for practical engineering use.

This experience strengthened my understanding of vehicle system architecture, electrified powertrains, and simulation-driven development—skills that continue to support my engineering projects today.
